According to City News, Canada and BBC Air Canada diverted original route and
stopped over at Frankfurt on the way to Toronto from Tel Aviv. It’s because
there was threat to life of a dog checked in by the passenger. It is said that passengers showed
positive reactions and understood the situation.
If this happen for Japanese airlines or
majority of passengers were Japanese, I guess it won’t be so. Many people in
the world think Japanese are kind and polite. That might be a quite general
image of Japanese. But are we generous enough to dogs and cats, and even
minorities? This should be a good but a question difficult to answer for
Japanese.
I have seen many posts on social network
and web news that many people complain about crying babies on the flight. Even
on trains there are many people who seem to be so annoyed with kids and babies
crying on trains. It seems Japanese are not so kind and generous to kids and
babies, though parents are not to be blamed even if babies cry in my opinion.
(Is that why birth rate is so decreasing? Maybe not exactly but worth to
examine it someday)
If it’s about a dog, there must be more
harsh reactions in Japan. In Japan about 100,000 dogs have been killed every
year because no one took care of them. People love dogs but they easily
abandoned dogs. Though its number is decreasing (green line is for dogs and
orange is for cats), more than 800 dogs were killed every day. Many NPOs and
civil societies are working hard to reduce such cases, but this is the reality
in Japan.
So I’m just wondering, what if the pilot
was Japanese or airline is Japanese one.
